Sugarcane Coffee Company was founded in 2005 by Peter and Emma McCleery. Having travelled Europe and sampled the wide range of eateries and Cafes that France and Italy offered, they decided that Northern Ireland was ready for their concept of more than just a coffee shop. They set about using Emma's background in design and Peter's love of good coffee to form their own brand and ideas and the doors to their first store were opened in April 2006 in a small County Down village called Comber.
Segafredo Coffee was chosen due to its quality and brand awareness and the favoured Italian roast. Quality Teas and locally sourced Apple juices followed and were added into a wide ranging menu with the emphasis on freshness and locally sourced produce. Our sandwiches are made fresh to order unlike most other stores. Platters of sandwiches are also a passion of ours. These are made fresh to order.This web site was designed and was the first site to allow a secure on-line transaction enabling the customer to purchase their lunch on-line for delivery. They also set about designing the all new "Directors Lunch Box". The all day needs of an individual could be placed in one box and delivered free to their home or place of work.
